I’m Alexander, a senior frontend engineer in Sofia and a co-founder of Blueberry Software. I’ve built
for the web since 2017, and for the last five years I’ve owned the front end of products that businesses
run on: an AI platform for building portfolios, an energy-trading platform for Europe’s gas market, a
decision tool for a Horizon Europe research project, and the website of one of Europe’s largest solar
contractors.
How I work
Give me the problem, not just the ticket. I take a brief, ask the questions that matter early,
make the calls that are mine to make and raise the ones that aren’t. I keep to the agreed scope, hold the
dates I give, and stay responsible for what I ship after it’s live.
I talk to the people the work is for. Clients, researchers, traders, investors: I explain
trade-offs in plain language, write decisions down, and say early when something needs to change. When
the plan moves, I adapt and keep the team moving with it.
The details are the job. Spacing, type and every interaction state matched to the design,
components built to be reused, and everything checked on real phones and browsers. I use AI coding agents
every day, and I review and test everything that ships.
On stage
Speaking at the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association’s partner forum, Burgas Free University, 17 September 2026.
Engineering is half of building a product; the other half is getting people to trust it. In September 2026
I spoke at the partner forum of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (АИКБ) at Burgas Free
University, on the state of the profession and where it’s heading: From 2022 to 2026: how AI changed
the programmer’s profession .
In March 2026 I represented Blueberry Software at the TechTour GreenCity Investment Forum in
Marne-la-Vallée, near Paris, one of the startups selected to present.
I gave the elevator pitch on stage in the Urban Energy session, then walked a smaller room through Volts.
What I work on
At Blueberry I own the front end of Volts end to end: real-time dashboards over MQTT, a
node-graph editor for automations, a streaming chat with AI agents, and the same app shipped to iOS and
Android with Capacitor. I set our frontend testing and CI standards and build the company’s internal AI
tools.
Tools
